Operative dentistry
This topic is fairly broad, and at our clinic it includes the following:
- Surgical extraction of teeth and roots
- Dental implantology
- Bone replacement
- Extraction of the wisdom teeth (third molar) it is the 3rd molar or 8th tooth of the teeth in number also known as wisdom teeth. The shape and the extent of it is highly variable.
- Resection/Root resectio – In case where the tooth has gone through a root canal treatment and been filled but is still causing pain or inflammation, we employ this process. In the process of the resection, the root-tip is extracted and the inflamed parts cleaned. This is the last resort to avoid the extraction of the tooth itself.
All the above mentioned procedures are carried out with the aid of local anaesthesia.
